POSSIBLE DIVINATORY MEANING: This Rune represents successful conclusion of an experience and the new beginning.  The new beginning is a feeling of harmony in oneself and the world around.  Ingwaz predicts family harmony, possible marriage, a birth of a child, healing in health, and improvement of home. When this Rune is drawn, be assured you can achieve completion and then start a new beginning!  This can be a joyous realization of a new path, a new life. Can also mean news of a stranger or family member not heard from in a long time.  Complete what ever project you are presently doing with care and love so you can get on with the new one.  Be happy!

Ing, or Yngvi (an "other name of Freyr") is a god of fertility and conquering. Ironically, in the Norse tradition it was often the women who conducted rites involving sexuality. Ing is related to the old Nerthus-cult which dealt with the mystery of fecundity and birth. This rune was often found on houses and barns for protection and fertility of home, animals, fields and other buildings.
