The wild Auroch, a very ferocious and powerful animal, is now extinct.  They once roamed Europe but never England. The surviving Aurochs were last seen in the forests of Poland until 1627. The Auroch became extinct around the 17th century when hunters exhausted their disappearing numbers for their prized horns used as drinking vessels.  These drinking vessels were often family heirlooms passed down from family to family.  They were often decorated with beautiful carving and ornate silver.  The horns represented the essence of the extinct powerful Auroch and were even considered magical.

KEY WORDS: Auroch (wild extinct European Buffalo), wild energy

POSSIBLE DIVINATORY MEANING: Represents courage and boldness.  Experience good health and vitality.  Lots of energy.  Rune of challenge, exciting events ahead, and opportunities.  Can represent a power that must be tamed such as ones very own ego. Things are not as bad as they seem.  Act with confidence and courage that this rune encourages and conditions one to improve.  Some of the experiences an individual goes through are part of an initiation.  The initiation process tempers one to become the very best an individual can possibly become.  This strength enables one to protect themselves and loved ones with honor.  This is an excellent rune for healing energies when needed. Never abuse the energies of this rune for evil or selfish reasons. This rune could indicate a cloudiness of energy or just not feeling well.  It can also indicate misdirected energies or a misappropriation of power used over others for selfish use.
